No, it wasn't a different scam. There were legit charges on my CC and both fraud at Instacart + My bank. The scam happened however 20 mins after placing an order on Instacart for the first time in 2 years. The timing is very odd, and my card was not saved in their account until that day. I think their systems were compromised.
