I like to use mouseover macros(+mmo mouse) for healing spells so I don't need to re-target the enemy repeatedly to dps. It requires a bit setup, but makes alternating between healing and dps a bit smoother. Macro looks like this: /ac "Cure" <mo>

I myself use a macro that targets the nearest party member, but this works sub-optimally at best since (a) sometimes the closest party member is a healer or so, or (b) the macro often does not work. I main WHM in savage and I use the macro /ac "Liturgy of the Bell" <me> as one of my two macros, the other one being /ac "Asylum" <t>., Essentially you should be able to use this on a mob that you have lost aggro on to cover the mob's new target. I've found it to be a lot more effective than using mouseover macros with this ability etc. The only real risk is if you try to use it on say a healer who is out of range and is healing a dps in your range you will cover the dps.
